The first thing I saw was the end

And the December challenge piece is finished.

And it has a name: Christina.

I didn't have much love for the story by about Friday last week -- it didn't look like I was ever going to finish, and I was getting some serious 'This is my worst work ever' vibes -- but over the weekend I blitzed it, and I have to say that I'm fairly happy with the last couple of scenes. The ending came together, and whilst the stuff before it may need some rewriting, I think I might be able to make something decent out of it.

No word count yet, as I'm still typing it out, but it's looking to be about five thousand words.

The first thing I saw was an L plate

My driving theory test is booked for Friday, 13 February. Writing's going to take a bit of a back burner over the next couple of weeks, as I reread my highway code and try to memorise stopping distances.

With luck I can have my practical test taken and failed by the end of April.

Later . . .
