I'm Afraid of . . . Non-Americans.

Made the required changes to He Missed the Sea last night, but I'm not quite ready to send it back to the market. I want to sit on it for a day or two, so I can have a read through with a little distance. I don't want to send it out full of new mistakes, and I don't particularly want to send out if the new bit doesn't match the tone and voice of the rest of it.

On the subject of submissions, following the latest rejection of The Well I've spent some time at Ralan's looking for another place to send it. I've decided this time that I'm going to remove the italicized biographical sections, see if it fares any better. The dislike for these sections has been fairly consistent. I might try and send that out tonight, but I'm not too worried if it goes out tomorrow.

Later . . .

I'm Afraid of . . . Mandated "Educational" Television.

I saw your blog today - nice - yeah, don't be discouraged by that, I've sent stuff and never gotten a response - good luck with it.
Sincerely,
A Complete Stranger

Um. Thanks?

Later . . .
