Please Fear my Wrath

I spent the last four days looking for markets for The Well. I've found a few that sound to want something similar to my story (or at least what I percieve my story to be). I've got a list, so now I've just got to look to see where it wants to go first.

What surprises me -- and kind of disappoints me, if I'm totally honest -- is the number of places that want fiction under 5ooo words. The Well runs at 5o5o. I don't want to push my luck with any editors, so they've been scratched from the list. It's just as well I'm not sending the first draft off: that ran to 8k, and would have left me with about two places to send it.
